      Congratulations to Elizabeth Larson, Lauren Curl, Lauren Walley, Olivia Schmitt, Kristen Achterhoff, and Heidi Dreyer! Outstanding commitment, dedication, practice and hard work manifested itself into enormous success at the recent Horse Bowl, Hippology, and Horse Judging contests in Baker, OR. 

      The horse bowl team of Lauren, Lauren, Elizabeth, Heidi and Olivia are Oregon State Champions and include individual top 10 honors by Lauren Walley and Elizabeth Larson.  The hippology team of Elizabeth, Lauren, Lauren, and Heidi are also Oregon State Champions, including Individual State Champion, Elizabeth Larson and top ten placings by Lauren Walley and Lauren Curl.  The horse judging team of Elizabeth, Heidi, Kristen, and Lauren Curl placed 2nd in the state with a top 10 individual placing by Elizabeth.  The teams were coached by Barb Walley and Karissa Dishon, many thanks to them for sharing their time and expertise.

      This group has met once per week or more since early in the year, as well as studying and practicing diligently on their own. It’s a fun, intelligent and dedicated group and I expect us to see them in a few years representing Oregon at a National contest in Kentucky.  Please join me in congratulating and recognizing their efforts as a team and as individuals.  Well done!  ccb
